Kent Intermediate Career Readiness Events

Kent ISD has a comprehensive list of upcoming Career & College Readiness opportunities in the area. The more exposure students have to future career opportunities and the world of work, the more likely they are to choose a career that’s right for them – where they’ll be happy and successful. It’s our job to help students get that exposure.

That’s why we work directly with students in grades 7-12 to provide career exploration opportunities like job shadows and industry tours to help them learn about in demand careers. It’s also why we partner with teachers in grades K-12 to help them bring career exploration into the classroom through lesson plans, special training and more. Kent Career Technical Center

Kent Career Technical Center (or KCTC) is a great resource for exploring careers.

Xello

All CCHS students are set up with a Xello account that allows them to explore careers, colleges, college majors, and more. Our counselor(s) will lead students through personality, skills, learning style, and career matchmaking assessments in 9th and 10th grade.  Students can redo assessments and further explore during one of our Xello Focus Period offerings.  Students can access their Xello account through the GCCS Bookmarks on their Chromebook.
