In 2009 when the Spanish Immersion program began, I was blessed with the opportunity to join the GCS staff. I had just finished my degree in History and Elementary education at Calvin College and was about to begin my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in multi-cultural education. It is a great joy and privilege to teach all these little ones about God, the world around us, and the Spanish Language. I love using music, movement, and creativity in my teaching whenever possible.
My husband, Edgar and I enjoy adventures, traveling, spending time with family, and going to movies together.
My theme song as a teacher has always been: “Make me a Servant” because I believe that Christian teacher we are called to serve our students and those around us.
“Make me a servant humble and meek. Lord let me lift up those who are weak. And may the prayer of my heart always be. Make me a servant make me a servant. Make me a servant today.”
