After graduating from Calvin College, I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in many west Michigan schools at the elementary and middle school level. At the same time, I also worked for Coopersville Public School through the adult ESL program. I then followed my husband to Boca Raton, Florida, where he attended graduate school and I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Spanish River Christian School. Upon returning to west Michigan, I started teaching preschool at Our Savior Lutheran School in Grand Rapids. In 2006 I was blessed with the opportunity to join the Polka Dot Garden teaching staff at Grandville Christian School. I enjoy the privilege of spending time with the youngest GCCS students, for whom each day is an adventure with exciting new things to learn and discover about God’s world and His deep love for us.
My husband Darryl and I have four children, two who currently attend GCCS. In my free time I enjoy family and friends, the outdoors, walking, biking, and boating.
Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”
