Joan Staal
Grandville Calvin Christian Schools has been a part of my life for a long time – first as a student, then as a mother, and finally as an employee. I graduated from CCHS in 1976, followed by my three sons who graduated in 2001, 2003 and 2006.
I began working at GCCS in 1996 as a Development Assistant, and continued working in that role until six years ago, when I accepted the position of Development Director. I am so blessed to be a part of God’s mission here at GCCS, and see His love and faithfulness daily. My hope is to seek and follow His will for both this position and for GCCS. In my spare time, I love to travel around Michigan, bike anywhere, and spend time with my grandchildren.
My all-time favorite verse, which has been so evident in my life, is Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
