I grew up in Midland Park, New Jersey — a small town in northeast New Jersey, thirty minutes outside of New York City. I attended Eastern Christian Schools my whole life and then came to Michigan to attend Calvin College. After graduating from Calvin College with a degree in Physical Education and Health, I attended Western Michigan University, where I received my master’s degree in Sports Management. While at Western Michigan, I taught four to five college PE classes per semester for four semesters.
I firmly believe that Christian education allows students to think deeply about their beliefs and helps shape them into people who can make a positive impact on our society. I also believe that sports impacts a person’s life beyond actually playing the game. It is my goal to help students realize how much sport and exercise can positively influence both their everyday life and their spiritual life.
My favorite Bible verse is Habakkuk 1:5 “Look at the nations and watch, and be utterly amazed, for I am going to something great in your day, that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
I enjoy spending time with friends, getting to know people, and coaching, watching, and playing sports.
