Kindergarten Focus
In Kindergarten students learn through hands on experiences across the curriculum. They work on collaboration through partner work and group projects, which helps them learn how to work well with others.
We have STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) lessons that help the students learn the process of inquiry based science model.
Movement is also a big part of our day. We take brain breaks throughout the day to help students stay focused on learning.
A Look Inside
In Kindergarten we value the importance of community. For that reason we have field trips and other fun events and activities where our students mix classes and get to know each other.
In addition to our rich curriculum and daily activities, here are some special events that take place throughout the year.
- 5th grade Reading Buddies
- Field Trips - Recycling Center, Camp Roger
- Play - Inside the classroom & outside. This is a very important part of child development and our students have the opportunity several times each day to play with their peers.
